Team LOA signed by Director of Marketing, Brian Magness. Rozsival has developed into an excellent penalty killer for the New York Rangers. Defenseman Michal Rozsival of Vlasim in the Czech Republic was selected in the fourth round, 105th overall in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft by the Pittsburgh Penguins. Upon being selected, Rozsival came to North America to get himself accustomed to the smaller North American rinks, playing two years of major junior hockey in the WHL with the Swift Current Broncos. In 1999-00, Rozsival played in 75 games with the Penguins, responding with four goals and 21 points before splitting the following year with the AHL's Wilkes-Barr/Scranton Penguins. In 2001-02 Rozsival had a strong season, netting nine goals and 29 points in 79 games before injuries plagued him throughout the 2002-03 season. In the summer of 2005, Rozsival was acquired by the New York Rangers. |
